Lambeth City Learning Centre has changed its name to London Connected Learning Centre. This change is driven by both our increasing work with other London schools and a decision to move away from our original branding, which was determined by the former Excellence in Cities government initiative. Our name now needs to reflect our work beyond the borough of Lambeth.
The change from City Learning Centre to Connected Learning Centre is a subtle but significant shift that allows us to embrace a new movement in education and technology which is gathering traction in the US and other areas of the World. We believe that the term Connected Learning describes our approach and activities well. We link learning at school and home, foster collaboration between teachers, students and schools, work in partnership with businesses, community and cultural organisations. We harness the advances and innovations of our connected age to serve learning and involve children and young people in using technologies to create, experiment, design and explore.
I hope you feel that this is a positive move for us. If you have any questions about this or any other aspect of our work please do contact us. Our contact details can be found on our Contact page.
