Computing Support

Computing Subject Leaders Development Programme 2017

This package is designed to support computing leads in developing and disseminating their subject expertise across their schools. It begins with a conference for participating subject leads, during which they will share practice and participate in CLC led activities to support the teaching of computing at both KS1 and KS2.

The next phase will involve a series of half day school visits, during which a member of the CLC team will work with staff to help implement changes in the planning and delivery of computing curriculum topics. Sessions can be tailored to school need and could be used to co-deliver professional development for colleagues or to devise and plan schemes of work. Participants will also be invited to take part in a Google hangout to share their midway progress and discuss what has worked best in their various contexts.

The programme culminates in a final conference, allowing time for reflection upon its impact and helping participants create a development plan for computing in their schools.
