This year has seen the launch of our Digital Champions programme, which aims to help people in Lambeth to learn and share digital skills.
One aspect of the programme is Digital Explorers, as chance for people with basic IT problems to come and spend some time one-on-one with us and get some help.
We’ve hit the ground running, with a number of learners already taking advantage of the free advice on offer.
One of those learners was Sam, who came to us wanting help in setting up an email account and learning to use it. We started at the beginning, searching for the login page, creating an address and password – discussing the importance of secure password – and away we went. When the session started, Sam had never sent an email. By the end, she had sent and received 4, including one sent with a picture attachment.
Sam sent us an email from home today to say thanks.
