Vacancy for a teaching and learning consultant for computing and technology

Salary: Up to £37,000 depending on experience.

London Connected Learning Centre (CLC) is expanding its programme for schools and is looking to recruit a full time teaching and learning consultant for computing and technology from September 2016.

London Connected Learning Centre (CLC), part of Education Development Trust, is an award-winning organisation that helps schools and other settings use digital technologies to improve learning.

The term Connected Learning describes our approach and activities. We make links between learning at school and at home, we involve children and young people in using digital technologies to create, experiment, design and explore, we foster collaboration between teachers, students and parents and we work in partnership with businesses, community and cultural organisations.


The CLC runs a varied programme of teacher professional development, pupil workshops and consultancy for schools. We are looking for a qualified teacher to join our team, to deliver high quality technology based pupil sessions, to support other teachers and to get involved in creative technology based projects.

Model and demonstrate

The ideal candidate will have an strong understanding of the English computing curriculum and of the use of digital technologies to support learning across the curriculum. London CLC works with learners from EYFS, through primary and secondary to parents, cultural and business professionals. The teaching and learning consultant for computing and technology will need to be someone who is excited about the potential of technology to support learning, has an enthusiasm for computer science, can inspire other teachers and is up to date with the latest developments in education and technology.

Candidates should have experience of teaching students in a school setting, and should have expertise in one or more of the following; computer science, programming, mobile technologies, online safety, Google Apps for education, open source software and cloud based services. Qualified teacher status is required.

An enhanced DBS ‘Disclosure and Barring Service’ check for regulated activity (formerly known as CRB) and the Children’s and Adults’ Barred List checks will be required for all roles.
