Micro:bit, Into Film and TATE collaborations

Welcome back everyone, hope you all enjoyed the break. The CLC team had a restful and productive Easter, making sure the building and our equipment is in tip top condition for Summer term.

We have some very exciting announcements to start the new term. Firstly, we are delighted to announce that the CLC will be a partner in the TATE Exchange, a new project that connects schools, galleries, artists and cultural institutions worldwide through this social media platform and an offline programme of artist interventions to try and test new ideas with teachers and young people.

We will also be partnering with Into Film this year, offering free CPD sessions in film-making and film literacy for primary and secondary teachers. For more information or to book a session for your school please contact Kim kmorrison@londonclc.org.uk

Earlier in the week the whole CLC team got together to test some new ideas and share practice – we thoroughly enjoyed creating our Micro:bit orchestra using the BBC Micro:bit. Can’t wait to use it with families and pupils as part of new years programme.

On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday we were visited by year 6 from Woodmansterne Primary, who worked hard using Minecraft to create erupting volcanoes. Top work from everyone.
