Games Galore: scratch, minecraft and raspberry pi

This week we’ve been going a little deeper into our favourite games and exploring how they are made in Scratch with pupils from St Helen’s, Christ Church, Hill Mead.  Fantastic mouse skills, lots of creativity and plenty of problem-solving went into the games design workshops with year 1 and 2.

Meanwhile, students from Reay primary discovered hacks to allow them to use Raspberry Pi and Python for Minecraft. Really great work produced by everyone.

We continued our run of E-Safety workshops, this time with Crown Lane primary, getting everyone up to speed ahead of Safer Internet Day on Tuesday 9th Feb. Remember to check out our safer internet blog for a round -up of all our favourite resources.

Social Media

On Thursday Julia worked with SLT from the Gipsy Hill Federation to help them plan a social media strategy for their schools. Twitter was the focus this time. Did you know you can pin a tweet to the top of your page, so it’s the first thing your followers see when they look at your profile? No? It’s great – check it out here.
