The Web We Want: Meeting Tim Berners Lee

The 8, 9 and 10 year olds from Crown Lane and Woodmansterne Primary Schools made a great contribution at last Wednesday’s #WebWeWantFest Think-In. We’d been invited by the South Bank Centre to help plan their festival to celebrate 25 years of the World Wide Web. The children met Tim Berners Lee and asked him some great questions about what inspired him to create the Web and about Web security and the possibility for universal passwords. Some of the Net Neutrality and NSA discussions were quite challenging, but they coped well and demonstrated some deep understanding about the benefits and difficulties of the WWW.
