Robochallenge V is now underway in schools – the annual IBM – Lambeth CLC project where schools complete programming challenges using LEGO NXT Mindstorm robots. Clapham Manor year 6 children were invited to apply for a place on the school’s team, outlining the talents they’d bring and why they wanted to take part – the lucky 7 children have been selected and start developing their skills on LEGO NXT programming this Friday after school. Meanwhile the children at Heathbrook Primary are getting to work on storyboarding their robot design and putting together their team logo. Teams from all 9 primary schools taking part are being supported by volunteer staff from IBM, who are visiting schools each week to help children prepare for taking part in the final challenge. We’ll be keeping in touch with them all as they get ready for the big day on 24th March.
